The Ashbee one-ups the Four Seasons in staff and location!

The location is just steps from the main shopping/dining street in Taormina. The rooftop glass enclosed dining room is to die for. Staff was exceptional, friendly and went out of their way to make sure every need was met. Valentina in the dining room was a standout.

The pool could use a scrub. Some algae on the tile...didn't expect that from such a beautiful, five-star property.

Beautiful town with the most friendly people who can’t do enough for you, fantastic restaurants !

Staff, the room, breakfast, hospitality were all 10/10 would be enthusiastic to return to the hotel in the future.

The parking for our car cost €50 per night would have been appreciated if as a guest of the hotel they could have found a way for it to be cheaper I felt like this was very expensive.

Overall great hotel with beautiful views, really convenient walking distance to shopping streets

The hotel scenery was beautiful. It was very convenient to walk to the Taormina city center.

Room service options were almost non existent at arojnd 1am. The only option available was a preprepared ham and cheese toast, and when we asked if we could remove the ham we were told no.

Wonderful hotel in a perfect position for walking into Taormina, literally on the doorstep. Nice pool with plenty of sun beds and all the staff in the hotel very friendly and helpful. Really good quality hotel with charm.

historical wonderful location - with a great potential for improvements

The building and the location are outstanding; The staff is very friendly, polite but semi-professional. The hotel director is very professional but new and he will need months to restructure this treasure of a hotel.

The relation price versus quality / performance is not acceptable. For a double room with breakfast for 4 nights for Euro 2.772,-- the preformance must be top, but it wasn't. From the beginning you have the feeling that they are interested just in your money - nothing else. In luxury hotels you must get the feeling that you are welcome and they are willing to do nearly everything (what should be done) that your stay is a pleasant one which you will never forget. In Ashbee they are interested at the check-in your credit card, your id and a form where your are informed that they block your credit card with 30% of the room price - at the end they blocked more than 60%! The staff did not inform us about the facilities of the hotel. The (very small) pool needs an urgent refurbishment (a lot of missing tiles) and the water line is partly dark (seems like a mold). The cleaning of the terraces, the ways and stairs outside is not perfect; the offer of sun umbrellas is too small and the spaces where you can find a shadow is limited (in Sicily many times you have permanent sunshine). On a plate at the pool you're informed that the opening hours at the pool are from 10 am to 6 pm! and so on....

Elegant, small, personal, friendly, great location

Over complicated room IT system meant our room was not cleaned and no water supplied on arrival or day 2 (as a result of the above overcomplicated system telling the cleaner we were in when we were out)

A pleasant hotel in a great location, needs some updating.

location very good & staff all positive and pleasant

breakfast was poor, poached eggs served cold in a bowl, fried eggs burnt. coffee served very strong. Room smelt damp, no usb ports & shower head and ceiling above needed attention.

Nice, secluded hotel from busy town center.

private hotel, close walk to the town center. rooms were comfortable and clean and staff was very attentive. The housekeeping was very good and come in to do turndown service. The breakfast was wonderful and the pool cafe was very tasty yet pricey.

We booked the superior room (most basic) and it was on the ground floor so it was a bit noisy with the guests in the room above walking around and moving furniture late / early in the morning. With the wood floors you can hear everything, it almost sounded like someone was in our room walking around.
